Without an account

MCARI collects nothing about you. The site sets one cookie to remember your language. It uses no advertising or tracking cookies. Visits are counted in aggregate, without cookies, through Cloudflare Web Analytics.

With an account

MCARI stores:

• your email address, organisation and purpose, and the time you accepted the Terms of Use
• a sign-in session cookie
• a count of your requests for event-level data, used only to apply rate limits
• a record of the issue PDFs you download (which issue, and when), used to understand how MCARI's publications are used

No password is created or stored. Account data is stored in the United States.

Why

To give you access, to prevent misuse, and to answer your requests. Your details are not sold, and they are not shared with anyone outside MCARI except the service providers below.

Service providers

The site runs on:

• Vercel (hosting)
• Supabase (database and sign-in)
• Cloudflare (network protection, visit counts and the sign-in check)
• Google Workspace (email)
• Mapbox (map tiles)

These providers process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the service.

Retention

Account details are kept while the account is active. They are deleted within 30 days after you ask, or after an account is closed.

Your choices

Write to info@mcari.org to see, correct or delete your details.
